Making It Easier for Engineering Students to Work on the Libraries' Computers

EOS in the Libraries As part of our commitment to make sure students have the tools they need to succeed, the Libraries has just installed nine EOS workstations in D. H. Hill Jr. (three running Linux, six running Windows). EOS is the standard engineering software suite for NC State engineering students and is widely regarded as one of the best academic computing environments in the world.

Engineering students who log in to these machines will get the full suite of engineering applications; all other students will get the standard set of Unity applications, similar to other computers in the library.

These machines are available on the second floor of the Bookstacks Tower along the north wall overlooking Hillsborough Street. They will also be indicated on the computer availability map.

Thanks to the College of Engineering for providing the hardware and the staff time to make this happen.
